Team

The management team of Fenix-DA consists of well-known EDA professionals, all of which have been engaged in successful previous EDA start-up activities. The knowledge of bringing to market tools for back-end design flow and chip layout interpretation has been a distinctive strength. The individual biography's are shown below.

Hein vd Wildt

 

Hein van der Wildt
President & CEO Fenix Design Automation, Founder

Prior to founding Fenix-DA, Hein founded Sagantec which became the leading supplier of Layout Compaction technology.

Before this, Hein started several non-EDA companies in both the US and Europe and spent well over 10 years as President of Xerox Computer Services.

Hein graduated from the Royal Dutch Airforce Academy and started his career as Airforce Officer.

 

 

Chris Strolenberg Chris Strolenberg

Chief Technical Officer, Founder

Chris Strolenberg graduated in 1988 from the faculty of Computing Science from Eindhoven University of Technology on the field of datapath layout optimization. Since then, Chris has worked in many areas of EDA software development, including static timing verification, logic synthesis, place & route algorithms, Verilog and VHDL simulation models, and layout compaction. The various tasks performed in these projects included research, software development, customer support, creating end-user documentation & tutorials and application engineering.

The most recent positions prior to joining Fenix-DA was VP Product Strategy at Sagantec project leader for the migration of advanced microprocessors from 65 to 45 nm process nodes.

Prior to founding Fenix, Johan was leading the Sagantec worldwide AE team with special focus on the Japanese market. Johan's IC design expertise originates from his position as a lead-designer at Silicon Systems and Services where he was responsible for design and implementation of Token-ring and FDDI network products.

Johan graduated from the University of Leuven and wrote his Master Thesis under supervision of Professor Hugo de Man. In addition Johan holds a Master's Degree in software engineering from the University of Diepenbeek. Next to IC design and layout migration, Johan has an extensive track-record in EDA software engineering on subjects as various as logic synthesis, routing and static timing analysis.

Ron Klomp Sr Development Engineer

Ron brings to Fenix extensive expertise in software design and implementation from his previous position as Software Architect at Sagantec.

At Sagantec, Ron has worked for several years in software development and technical writing after completing a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in 2001.
